Most Common Issues (All Machines)

• Motor won't start: Check power supply & breaker; test switch continuity; ensure overload relay not tripped (press reset).
• Excessive vibration: Level machine feet; check blade/belt tension; balance wheels or pulleys.
• Poor dust collection: Clean filters/bags; check hose connections; ensure impeller clear of debris.
• Blade not cutting straight: Align fence parallel to blade; check table insert level; true miter slot.
• Overheating motor: Clean cooling fins; reduce load; check voltage matches motor rating.
• Magnetic switch clicking but no run: Check centrifugal switch or capacitor; test contactor.

Table Saw & Bandsaw Specific

• Blade drifting (bandsaw): Adjust wheel coplanar; correct blade tension (use gauge); replace guides.
• Riving knife misalignment: Adjust per manual; ensure splitter matches blade kerf.

Jointer & Planer Specific

• Snipe on material: Adjust infeed/outfeed tables; use light pressure at ends; lock cutterhead.
• Chatter marks: Sharpen/replace knives; reduce depth of cut; check bearings.

Safety note: Always unplug before maintenance or blade changes. Wear eye & hearing protection. Use push blocks/sticks. Never bypass safety guards.
