Specifications

Setup & Installation

Connect to a compatible air compressor.

  1. Check air compressor: Ensure it provides 60-120 PSI and has a regulator.
  2. Attach air hose: Use a 1/4" NPT fitting; apply thread sealant if needed.
  3. Adjust pressure: Set compressor regulator to 70-90 PSI for general use.
  4. Connect hose: Ensure connections are tight and hose is free of kinks.
  5. Test fire: Aim tool in a safe direction and depress trigger to check operation.

CAUTION! Do not exceed 120 PSI. Excessive pressure can damage tool and cause injury.

Controls and Adjustments

Familiarize yourself with tool components.

Main Controls: Trigger (sequential/contact mode selector), Depth Adjustment Wheel, Quick-Release Lever, Exhaust Deflector, Magazine Release.

Sequential Mode: Requires nose contact with workpiece, then trigger pull for single fire. Contact Mode: Hold trigger and bump nose against workpiece for rapid fire (use with caution).

Depth Adjustment: Turn wheel forward (+) for deeper countersink; backward (-) for shallower drive.

Loading Brad Nails

Always disconnect air supply before loading.

  1. Press magazine release and slide magazine open.
  2. Insert strip of brad nails (18-gauge, 5/8"-2") with points facing down toward nosepiece.
  3. Push nails fully into magazine until they click into place.
  4. Close magazine and ensure it locks securely.
  5. Reconnect air hose and test fire into scrap wood.

Tip: Use only clean, straight nails. Bent or dirty nails can cause jams.

Operation

Proper technique ensures quality results and safety.

  1. Select firing mode: Sequential for precision; contact for speed (experienced users only).
  2. Position nosepiece firmly against workpiece.
  3. For sequential mode: Apply pressure, then pull trigger.
  4. For contact mode: Hold trigger, bump nose against workpiece.
  5. Maintain firm grip and control during operation.
  6. After use, disconnect air, clear magazine, and store properly.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from nosepiece. Never carry by the hose.

Depth Adjustment

Adjust nail depth for flush or countersunk finish.

  1. Test on scrap material same thickness as workpiece.
  2. Turn depth wheel forward (+) to drive nail deeper (countersink).
  3. Turn depth wheel backward (-) to drive nail shallower (flush).
  4. Make small adjustments and test until desired depth is achieved.

Note: Depth may vary with wood density and air pressure.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Disconnect air before any maintenance.

  1. Daily: Wipe exterior with clean, dry cloth.
  2. Weekly: Add 2-3 drops of pneumatic tool oil into air inlet (if recommended for your model).
  3. Monthly: Inspect O-rings and seals for wear; replace if damaged.
  4. Jams: Use quick-release lever to clear nosepiece; remove nail strip if necessary.
  5. Storage: Keep in dry place, empty magazine, and lightly oil metal parts.

CAUTION! Do not disassemble beyond user-serviceable parts. Refer to service for internal repairs.
